1. Application scenarios for matching weight and thickness
Select specifications based on usage needs: for conventional outdoor applications such as sunshades and sports bags, it is recommended to use 550-650g/㎡ to balance strength and flexibility. Heavy duty scenarios that require high-frequency use can choose 900gsm or above. Products below 450g/㎡ have weak tear resistance.
2. Core mechanical performance verification
Require 1000D × 1000D high-density polyester base fabric, with a tensile strength of ≥ 2500N/5cm and a tear strength of ≥ 300N. A peel strength of ≥ 90N/5cm is required to ensure that the coating does not separate.
3. UV resistance and weather resistance verification
Verify QUV aging test report (ASTM G154) for over 1000 hours, requiring a tensile strength retention rate of ≥ 85% after aging. Confirm that the temperature resistance range covers -30 ℃ to+70 ℃, and there are no cracks when bending at -25 ℃.

Q: Is the bottom of this 1000D heavy-duty PVC fabric outdoor sports bag wear-resistant? Will it wear out in a few days?
A: It is indeed wear-resistant. Several equipment bags made of this fabric, containing mountaineering equipment and tools, are often dragged back and forth on rocky ground. I have been using it for more than half a year, and there are only some scratches on the surface of the bottom, without any wear or tear. I went to the warehouse to check the scraps and found that there is indeed something in the double-layer thick PVC coating, which is much thicker than ordinary coated cloth.
Q: What is the anti UV effect? Will it become brittle after being exposed to direct sunlight for a summer?
A: This fabric has been used as a sunshade for two summers, and the color has not faded much. The hand feel is still flexible, and there has been no hardening or brittleness. The 1000 hour aging test data provided by the manufacturer is indeed reliable. I used that cheap product before, but after just one quarter of sun drying, it became brittle and flaky.
Q: Will the pattern coating peel off after prolonged use? Is the waterproof performance reliable?
A: The printed coating is quite strong. I have brushed it several times and the pattern is still there without peeling or residue. The waterproof performance is currently good, but it slips away when light rain falls on the fabric. As a sunshade, no water seepage was found, and the inside remained dry.
