Professional evaluation data interpretation: laminated agricultural tarpaulin HDPE roll/PVC covered tarpaulin

This product covers two types: HDPE laminated tarpaulin and PVC coated tarpaulin, designed specifically for agricultural and industrial coverage. For HDPE laminated tarpaulin, professional testing shows that its tensile strength in the warp/weft direction is ≥ 600N (BS 2576), tear strength is ≥ 100N (ISO 4674 A2), and the strength loss after 1500 hours of UVB irradiation is ≤ 5% (ASTM G53/94). The weight range is 190-300g/㎡, achieving a balance between lightweight and durability. For PVC covered tarpaulin, 1000D high-strength base fabric and double-sided coating are used, with a tensile strength of 2845/2474 N/5cm and a tear strength of 621/579N (DIN 53363). The material has a temperature resistance of -30 ℃ to+70 ℃, and can be flame retardant according to DIN4102 B1 level. It is suitable for agricultural storage, livestock covering, and heavy equipment protection.

1. Material selection: HDPE vs PVC
HDPE tarpaulin (190-300g/㎡): lightweight and economical, with a tensile strength of ≥ 600N and a strength loss of ≤ 5% after 1500 hours of UV aging, suitable for short-term covering, silage stacking, and hay protection
PVC tarpaulin (500-900g/㎡): heavy-duty and durable, with a tensile strength of ≥ 2800N/5cm and a tear strength of ≥ 600N, suitable for long-term outdoor use, livestock sheds, and heavy equipment
2. Performance data comparison
HDPE focuses on tear strength ≥ 100N (ISO 4674 A2) and UV resistance performance; PVC needs to verify its temperature resistance range (-30 ℃ to+70 ℃) and flame retardant rating (optional DIN4102 B1). Both require confirmation of waterproof sealing (HDPE hydrostatic pressure ≥ 50kPa, PVC ≥ 0.3MPa).

Agricultural storage: HDPE economical type (200-250g/㎡), UV resistant for 3-5 years
Livestock coverage: PVC reinforced (600g/㎡), acid and alkali resistant, easy to clean
